both occasions.

finishing second
at the 1988 U.S.
Olympic Team
Trials,
Delisa also
competed at the
1988 Summer
Olympics in
Seoul, South
Korea. During a
very close final
race, Delisa
produced a
lifetime best
performance of
1:57.80 to
finish in fifth
place - less
than a second
from a bronze
medal.

Coach Brian Yokoyama
Yokoyama is very active with the USA
Track and Field Pole Vault Development. He
currently serves as the Women’s National Pole
Vault High Performance/Development Chairperson.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors
for the North American Pole Vault Association
and is actively involved in running the USATF
Pole Vault Summit (3,000 attendees in Reno, NV)
and the NAPVA National Championships (8,000
Spectators) in Clovis, California as
